Framed Jaipur Court Fee Manuscript with Hand Painted Elephant Procession
Antique Jaipur court fee document featuring a blue “Jaipur Government Court Fee Stamp Two Annas” seal, extensive handwritten inscriptions, and a hand painted procession scene with an elephant, attendants and court figures.
The reverse also preserves additional handwritten text, which makes it more appropriate to present this as a historic manuscript/document rather than simply as decorative artwork.
Presented in a later gilt frame under glass.
The paper shows age related toning, creasing, staining, surface wear and old inscriptions consistent with its historic character. The exact age of the painted decoration has not been independently authenticated, so the piece is conservatively described as late 19th.
