He stands in a dynamic contrapposto pose on a circular tiered base, head tilted with musical expression captured in exquisite detail.

The rich dark brown patina speaks to age and authentic bronze casting, with fine surface modelling throughout the figure's costume, hair, and facial features. The circular base bears a foundry mark, consistent with 19th century French or Belgian academic bronze production.
