An exceptionally fine 19th century bronze sculpture depicting a Rococo style lady falconer, captured in a moment of elegant poise. She holds a sceptre crowned with a floral finial in one hand, while a small bird perches delicately on the other. A second bird nestles at her chest, rendered with remarkable naturalistic detail. Her costume, a billowing dress with ruffled collar, bustle skirt, and a feathered hat speaks to the Belle Époque sensibility of the finest French and Belgian academic bronze ateliers.
