Vintage handmade silk carpet from Tianjin, China, featuring birds among flowering branches framed by scrolling floral borders. The carpet has a soft blue, ivory, beige and muted rose palette, with sculpted raised detailing defining the flowers, foliage and birds.
The original manufacturer's/export label remains with the carpet and reads "Tianjin Hand Made Silk Carpets" and "China National Arts & Crafts Import & Export Corp., Tianjin Branch." The label records an approximate factory size of 3 × 5 ft.
