A highly decorative pair of vintage Syrian armchairs crafted in the traditional Damascene inlay style, featuring intricate geometric marquetry and extensive mother of pearl decoration.
The tall backs are richly detailed with layered star and mosaic motifs, framed by contrasting woods and luminous shell inlay. Pierced architectural crests, decorated arm supports, and finely patterned front aprons give the chairs a strong sculptural presence from every angle.
The central back panels are especially elaborate, combining geometric woodwork with natural mother of pearl in carefully arranged Islamic inspired designs. The upholstered seats provide a softer contrast to the highly detailed wooden structure.
A striking pair of statement chairs that reflect the decorative furniture traditions of Damascus and the wider Levant, ideal for a refined living room, entrance hall, library, majlis, or collector’s interior.
