Elegant matched pair of late 19th century French Sèvres style covered porcelain urns, each measuring approximately 40 cm high. The urns feature a soft pink ground enriched with extensive gilt decoration. Each body is decorated with hand painted reserves: romantic figural scenes on one side and colorful floral bouquets on the reverse. The porcelain is mounted with ornate gilt metal fittings, including tall scrolling handles, foliate mounts, acorn form finials and substantial shaped bases.

The form, pink ground, figural reserves, gilding and mounted construction are consistent with late 19th century French Sèvres revival decorative porcelain. Comparable catalogued examples are commonly described as Sèvres style porcelain with gilt bronze or gilt metal mounts.
