An impressive large-scale vintage cast bronze sculpture of a medieval armored guard holding a raised torch. The figure is richly detailed across the helmet, armor, and clothing, with a deep aged patina lending strong architectural presence.
The non magnetic yellow brown copper alloy metal beneath the patina is consistent with bronze. The piece bears an "F. Remington" signature, recorded as part of the sculpture but not presented as an authenticated work by Frederic Remington. Large decorative bronze warrior torchères are a recognized decorative form with comparable medieval warrior examples.
