Step into a world of living history with this magnificent Syrian Sandouk a traditional storage chest that once graced the interior of a distinguished Levantine home. Handcrafted from solid walnut, its front façade is a tour de force of the decorative arts: three framed panels adorned with intricate geometric mother of pearl inlay, interlaced arabesques, and a central pointed arch motif drawn from the vocabulary of Islamic architecture.
The chest rests on a matching carved stand with scalloped apron and triangular mother of pearl accents, creating a unified and monumental presence. The deep, richly patinated walnut speaks of age and care a piece that has absorbed the stories of generations.
