A finely decorated curved Jambiya with a flared silver overlaid hilt, worked in scrolling floral arabesques and cross hatching over a dark ground, with red velvet showing through the pierced panels. The matching scabbard carries the same decoration and ends in a silver tip. The curved double edged blade shows a strong pattern welded Damascus type pattern and is inlaid near the forte with a silver teardrop cartouche bearing an Arabic calligraphic monogram. Condition is good for its age, with light spotting and minor pitting at the blade tip. Sourced from the Dar Al Tourath collection.
