A captivating oil on canvas maritime scene depicting a busy Harbor with three masted tall ships under a luminous, cloud filled sky. Painted in the tradition of the Dutch Golden Age marine school, this atmospheric work conveys the grandeur of seafaring life through soft tonal greens and greys, deft brushwork on the water's surface, and a warm architectural silhouette in the background.
The composition is framed in a period gilt wood frame with acanthus leaf carved corners and a beaded inner fillet ornate, museum quality framing that enhances the painting's provenance and display presence.
